This is an old video of Minecraft. I recorded it as Beta 1.3 came out but wasn't really satisfied with the result. Nevertheless I decided to upload it to free up some space on my hard drive. Maybe there are still some people who are not aware of these cool cinematic features that were added to Minecraft with the Beta 1.3 update.
- Smooth Lighting gives more depth to your Minecraft world.
- Press F1 to toggle HUD. You no longer have to hold down the F1 key to have a clean picture for your virtual camera.
- Press F8 to toggle mouse smoothing. It's great for camera panning. If you disable View Bobbing it gives you a perfectly smooth steadicam.
All of the shots were done in newly generated worlds. Everything you see is the work of the world generator (except the jack-o'-lantern, the red sheep and removed stone around the diamonds). I also kept the visual effects at a minimum (actually there is only the time lapse at the beginning and the end, some transitions, and a glow effect when the first steadicam shot starts).
